House edge & RTP calculator

Understand theoretical average loss from turnover and RTP, with clear limits on what the model can predict.

Explore the long-run model

At 96% RTP and 1,000 turnover: 40 units theoretical average loss. This is a long-run model, not a prediction of a session.

What the model calculates

House edge = 100 percent minus RTP. Theoretical average loss = total turnover × house edge ÷ 100. The implied theoretical return is turnover minus that average loss. The tool assumes the entered RTP applies consistently to all of the entered turnover.

Example: turnover is not the starting balance

A hypothetical 1,000 units of total bets at 96 percent RTP has an associated theoretical average loss of 40 units. The same funds may have been wagered repeatedly to create that turnover. The result does not mean a 1,000-unit deposit is required or that losing only 40 is guaranteed.

Why a session can look very different

Actual outcomes depend on the game's payout distribution and the sequence of results. A short session can be far above or below the model average, including losing the entire available balance. RTP does not describe volatility or the probability of running out of money within a session.

What is excluded

This tool does not calculate bonus value, probability of ruin, bet optimisation, crypto price changes, fees or a profitable strategy. It does not verify the RTP of a game. Use the return information for the exact game and rules you are examining.

Use the number as an explanation, not a target

Increasing turnover generally increases exposure to the modelled house edge; it does not make a previous loss due to reverse. Do not raise a limit or chase losses because a theoretical average suggests your result should be different.
